THE BIATHLON 7-3 IS A SMALL-BORE TARGET RIFLE(for women and juniors). The stock features a butt adjustable in length and a vertically and horizontally adjustable cheek. It is furnished with a holder for extra magazines. The Biathlon-7-3 rifle may be produced in version with a safety. The Biathlon-7-4 is a small-bore target rifle (for men). The Biathlon-7-4 rifle is also produced in version with a safety. The Biathlon target rifles are intended for biathlon shooting at 50m range. The Biathlon-7-3 is preferred for women and juniors, while the Biathlon-7-4 - for men.

All the models are designed on a common base and differ in the stock dimensions and position of the trigger relative the pistol grip. Available are the versions for a left-hander and with a safety. The barrel bore locking system of a crank type with vertical axles of rotation allows to quickly reload the rifle without changing the ready position of a shooter. The position of the center of masses of the rifles is adjusted by the balancing weights.

Provision is made for a cover to protect the barrel bore, front sight and diopter sight from dirt. The trigger mechanism makes it possible to adjust the trigger pull, travel and trigger release character without stripping the rifle. The mechanism features an additional hammer interlocking device to perform dry training shooting.

The buttstock adjustable in length and a cheek adjustable in the vertical and horizontal planes allow to assume the most favourable and correct position for shooting. The buttstock is fitted with a holder to accept extra magazines. The quickly detachable sling comprises two parts - a loop and a sling. The shoulder strap is of peculiar design with elastic elements. The rifle comes complete with a 5-round magazine. The set includes magazines with a special cover holding three extra cartridges. The 5.6mm (. 22LR) rim-fire cartridges are used for firing. The maximum operating pressure of powder combustion gases should not exceed 180 MPa (1836 kgf/sq. cm). The parameters of the barrel bore and cartridge chamber, as well as those of the locking unit permit to use home-made and international cartridges.

The Biathlon-7-3 Cadet is intended to carry out trainings and competitions in biathlon sport with the sportsmen of younger age (till 15). The Biathlon-7-3 Cadet differs from the basic model in stock and trigger mechanism provided with a safety. The buttstock adjustable in length and a vertically and horizontally adjustable cheek, a holder for extra magazines.
